The FOREST Partnership opened its first joint call, FORESTPathways, on 15 September 2026: “Building Knowledge and Solutions for Resilient Forests and Sustainable Forest-Based Futures”. The indicative total public funding commitment is up to €40 million, including the EU co-contribution, brought together by 36 research funding organisations from 27 countries. It is also two-stage, with the first stage closing on 2 December 2026 at 13:00 CET, full proposals due by 2 June 2027, and successful projects expected to start in the first half of 2028.
